Michael Beckerat is a mixed media artist that works primarily with high quality wood and stone. Michael takes pride in sourcing high quality material from around the country and around the world. He derives a lot of pleasure from putting countless hours into his work. Starting with laying out the piece, to carving the wood and all the endless details of inlaying the sone in the wood, burning the wood and finishing the piece with all the little details that bring his work to life.
Michael draws his influence from folk art and story telling that are sought out through visions, these impressions come to Michael and he can not rest till he gets them out to the world.
